Activity Centre for Empowerment (ACE)
The Activity Centre for Empowerment (ACE) was officially opened April 22, 2004. Employees of the BC Schizophrenia Society Prince George Branch (BCSS) and member volunteers operate the day-to-day activities of the centre, with the British Columbia Schizophrenia Society Prince George Branch directing policy.
Mission Statement
To promote recovery among mental health service users through skill development and empowerment.
Goals
- To provide a place where mental health service users, their
families and service providers can work and play together in an environment of equality-partners in recovery. - To provide opportunities for socialization and the formation of meaningful relationships for all members in an atmosphere of safety and respect.
- To increase awareness of and connections to services in the community.
ACE offers programs, services, activities and events based on the needs and feedback of the members.
